Getting big!

Brenton is growing and growing...

this week Brenton took his first trip to the State Fair and to see the Amish people in Yoder (haha...only because mommy stopped at their bake sale!). Next week Brenton gets to go on his first airplane ride and takes his first real vacation (not just to grandma and grandpa's house)-- we are leaving for Colorado Springs Thursday morning bright and early. Brenton is really excited-- he told me so when we were practicing flying like an airplane last night! :)

Here are a few pictures to keep you up-to-date!

Brenton tries and tries to get his thumb in his mouth...but rarely makes it-- he usually misses. When he does get it in there, though, he leaves all of his other fingers extended instead of closing his hand into a fist.

Self-explanatory!!

Check out that sad face-- he really knows how to get that lip out there!

We finally caught Uncle Jason! But he says Aunt Michelle is in big trouble for this!

Best in Show! He's just missing his blue ribbon!

How precious-- she's 95 and he's just 5 weeks!

And finally...this is Brenton's celebrity picture. See...he's saying, "no pictures, please!" :)

One month!

Brenton is already one month old!! He now weighs 8 pounds, 14 ounces, and apparently was measured incorrectly last time we were at the doctor so is really only 20 and 1/4 inches long. Two weeks ago they said he was 21 inches long! haha...anyways...he got a shot today and it was SO sad. Next appointment he gets several shots...not looking forward to that!

Here are a few of the great family pictures we took over the past weekend. Also, here are Caleb (DOB: 8-5-07) and Brenton meeting for the first time and Brenton getting to visit some of mommy and daddy's friends.

Fun Fun Fun :)

Baby Brenton is so much fun! And he is so stinkin' cute I just can't get enough of him!! Our little man is over 4 weeks now and fast approaching his big one-month on Friday. We have had a fun time taking family outings, visiting friends and family, and spending time together at home. Here are a few pictures to keep you up on our happenings-- more pictures will come soon, though, as we finally got a chance to take some all together this weekend thanks to our handy tripod and the timer on our camera. This first one is getting lots of compliments from mommy and daddy's friends! It's pretty cool having the Chick-Fil-A "hook up" thanks to Grandma Tammy.

Second-- Here is the cutest after bath picture ever! He looks way older than 4 weeks to me-- look how he is holding himself up!

And here we are at Brenton's first softball game-- daddy is playing on Grandpa Mike's team with the old guys.

We rigged his rattle around his wrist-- and he actually pulled it to his mouth and tried to eat it!

And here he is on his tummy-- he is so good at holding up his head, pushing with his legs, and even standing up with help from mommy and daddy-- I can't believe how strong he is! Daddy thinks he might be walking by Christmas!! ;)

Well...I hope you enjoy looking at these as much as we do! We take about three million pictures per day and still feel like we miss things that he does all the time!

Great birthday!

Yesterday was my first birthday as a mom....not that anything was really that different, but I had a wonderful birthday!

Once we get some pictures uploaded off the camera I will post some more pictures of Brenton...he is SO cute! He actually was awake for about 7 hours in a row yesterday, which was really neat-- but he was also very fussy, which was not so neat. We are still trying to get into some sort of regular routine...hopefully that will begin to fall into place soon. Travis and I love every minute with our little man-- I can't even remember what life was like before. I find myself dreaming and planning all of these events and activities and vacations for our family already! Disneyworld anyone?! :)

Can you believe Brenton has grown 2 inches since birth??!! I have definitely become a mom because I am freaking out and want him to stop growing already!

Little boys...

I am learning a lot about little boys...

Before having Brenton I had heard all of the (funny) horror stories about baby boys peeing on people as they are getting their diapers changed....well, to say the least the stories are coming true! The problem is-- Brenton always manages to pee a stream directly back on himself, rather than out on his audience. Just a little bit ago Travis was changing his diaper when all of a sudden he starts crying and peeing on himself-- even on his own face. It is pretty funny, but sad at the same time because you find yourself laughing-- helpless-- as the little guy is now squirming in his own little puddle. So....bath #2 and outfit #2 of the day...here we come!
