Brenton is also very interested in fans, electrical cords, and anything else that he is not supposed to have. On a more positive note, though, he is also very interested in helping clean! Brenton can spot a broom or sweeper a mile away and demands to use it! I guess I have trained him well! Jk....but seriously- vacuums, sweepers, brooms, swiffers, you name it- he's on it!
Travis and I got our membership to the Y this past weekend and, yes, I have already used it! Saturday we went to the outdoor pool and Brenton had a blast. But let me just tell you- it is not easy to entertain a busy little bee that wants to just walk wherever he wants IN the water-- he does not understand the depth of the water or the slippery-ness (like my word?!) of the bottom of the pool-- but he LOVES the water and did not seem to mind his several face plants into the water. He just blows it all out of his face, splashes around, and keeps on going!! We got a sno-cone while we were there, too, and that was pretty much amazing!
I can't remember what I have posted on here and what I haven't so I just thought I would mention that we have had a great time with all the family that has been in town for Grandma and Grandpa Hinkle's 50th wedding anniversary, and for Grandpa Bob's birthday- and my little sisters who stayed in town last week and spent some time with their favorite nephew! And we are MORE THAN excited that Aunt Michelle and Uncle Jason live in Wichita now! They are right out by our friends Tom and Mira....so maybe we will expand our house hunting horizons that way! :) Speaking of Tom and Mira- we love hanging out with them! Mira and I walked at the Y last night, and we ended up in the parking lot until....well, late....and for that I am thankful. What would we do without amazing friends who are so faithful in the Lord that they truly lift us up anytime we are around??! We have been blessed with wonderful friends- whether we hang out with them 24/7 or not- we have some great relationships with some great people. I hope you all know how important it is to take the time to really, really connect with people-- that's the stuff life is made of. After all, we are to follow Christ's example, right?
